Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance Book Bomb!
The Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance is running a book bomb for twenty books today and tomorrow (18th and 19th Jul7 2016). Beyond the Mist is one, and two other members of the Superversive Literary movement also feature. A book bomb works by lots of people going on amazon and buying the same book on the same day, which boost’s the book’s rankings in amazon’s algorithms and makes it more visible to potential new readers. The author also gets paid for his work, as it should be. If you already have one of these books, please leave a review on Amazon (even if you don’t have much to say or someone else has already said similar things), as that also helps to boost that book’s visibility in amazon’s recommendations algorithm. Meeting up with the Mountain Who Writes!
I had the privilege of meeting up with Larry Correia on the last stop of his European book signing tour. He seemed pretty excited to receive a signed copy of Beyond the Mist from me, as I got him to sign my copy of his excellent fantasy novel Son of the Black Sword (John C. Wright’s foreword in my book was a big selling point for him).
He was already well aware of Sci Phi Journal and SuperversiveSF.com, and I took a few messages from the rest of the SuperversiveSF crew, so he was happy to see me and I had a nice chat with him and his good lady about Prague, their experiences on their tour, family life, writing and a little about this year’s Sad Puppies campaign. It was a fun time and I look forward to hearing what Larry thinks of my little book, since many of us know how much weight a recommendation from him can carry.
In other news, The 2016 Journal of the Society of Classical Poets came out this week, featuring one of my poems.
They will also be posting a review of my latest poetry book Selected Verse – Heroes and Wonders in mid-May, so I look forward to reading what they think of that collection.
Tombs and Terrors Online game – My Books Are Among the Treasure!
A unique online event is going to be held this Friday, an old-school dnd dungeon crawl with genuine ebooks and paperbacks as the random treasures. Among the treasures will be two ebook copies of Beyond the Mist, two of Nobility Among Us, and two of Selected Verse – Heroes and Wonders (If it’s not on sale by the time the game starts, these will be eARC’s of that collection). Selected Verse – Faith and Family currently No.1 in Family Poetry on Amazon!
Thanks to the awesome influx of people visiting here from scifiwright and elsewhere (obliterating my daily traffic records) and buying up my books on sale, Selected Verse: Faith and Family has now reached the No. 1 spot for Family-themed poetry, and no. 9 in Religious and Inspirational Poetry ebooks at Amazon. I know this probably won’t last long, given how quickly these rankings can change, but I thought this moment worthy of recording for posterity. Family poetry is a surprisingly small category, let’s see if we can climb any higher in the bigger categories.
Speaking of much larger categories, Beyond the Mist is now no.8 in metaphysical genre fiction, highly respectable positions in major categories and approaching the overall top 7,000 paid books in the kindle store:
