An Easter Vision

On this special day, I’d like to share a brief vision I had a number of years ago, that ties in with and illustrates the message of Romans chapter 6.

In it Jesus was hanging on the cross. I ran over to him and embraced him as he hung there.

A voice behind me said, “You want to identify with this disgrace? Fine.”

A long metal spike was hammered into my back, piercing through my heart, through Christ’s body and into the cross, pinning me there, and we both died.

I woke up in the tomb next to Him, He helped me to my feet and we walked into the sunshine together.

He turned to me and smiled. “You have died with me, you have been raised with me. Now live like it.”

CLFA Book of the Year Voting is Open

Conservative Libertarian Alliance Book of the YearThe Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance has released its ten finalists for book of the year. In a very strong year, featuring outstanding works by some great authors, sadly Beyond the Mist finished just outside the top ten in the initial nomination phase, so cannot be voted for.

The nominations are in and counted, and the CLFA is thrilled to present our ten finalists for the CLFA Book of the Year 2017!

Beginning in January 2017, CLFA members have been hard at work, compiling a list of our favorite 2016 releases. We ran several rounds of voting to refine the list to the top ten in the survey. For the final winner, we always open up voting to the public.

To be eligible, books must be fiction of any genre and of novel length (50k words or more), initially published in any form (print, digital, or audio) during the calendar year 2016. Books may be an indie, traditional, or anything-in-between publication.

Voting is open until midnight on March 31, 2017. Winners to be announced in April 2017. Have at it!

I’ve broken the top 100!

Today, thanks to a large boost in sales of Forbidden Thoughts, I reached the lofty heights of #90 in science fiction book sales on amazon, right below two very big names in the field. This is a proud moment, and something I certainly didn’t expect to happen so soon. I did a screen capture a few hours ago, so the moment would not be lost to history…

My contribution to Forbidden Thoughts can also be found in my second poetry collection (as can my contribution to an upcoming Arthurian anthology and many other uplifting poems), so if you want to get ahead of the curve, you can check it out by clicking on the image below:

Book Horde Reviews Beyond the Mist

Book Horde has some very positive things to say about Beyond the Mist, and heartily recommends it for a wide range of readers.

This is a good story, with great world-building, and subtle Christian themes. I really liked that I can read it strictly for the story, and later I can think about the moral themes and questions it raises.
