Who will reject this cult of self
And walk against the tide,
To show the world this life is more
Than feeding our own pride?
Who can teach the selfless way
When all have failed the test?
Each move we make is tainted
With our twisted self-behest.
We need a different sort of man;
Not one of our own kind-
Who fought against our common foe
But kept a spotless mind.
Then sacrificed himself to make
A way for all the rest
To drop our ego’s burdens
And become our very best.
