When otherworldly forces conspire against those she loves, Rachel Griffin must face her most desperate hour.
This on top of winter fairies, lost friends, undeniably attractive older boys, and, oh, a rampaging ogre.
With the imminent launch of the latest book in L. Jagi Lamplighter’s excellent Books of Unexpected Enlightenment series coming up on November 21st, it is time to reveal a little something I put together, an upgraded version of an old promotional video the book used to have. I will be at the launch party on Tuesday, where an all-original promo video I made (including a vocal performance from myself in collaboration with Sarah Koolbeck) will be unveiled, so look forward to that and take this opportunity to introduce yourself to this wonderful series.
Awesome blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost
on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely confused ..
Any suggestions? Bless you!
Thank you.
I’ll tell you what a much better writer than me told me: If you want to be a writer, then write—the more you write, the better you’ll get. Find something that you’re passionate about, that excites you, and write about it (if you enjoy writing about it, people are much more likely to enjoy reading about it). Try various styles, get advice from various quarters and see what works for you. Read widely, especially older books, listen to feedback on your output (don’t just accept all criticism, think about it, some feedback is useful, others isn’t).
If you’re just getting started, then a free wordpress account is a good place to start with, it can always be upgraded or migrated to a paid host at a later date.
