Life’s Little Paradoxes

A man better understands
The treasure he has lost
Than the one he carries with him
Each and every single day.

The wisest man begins
By acknowledging his ignorance;
There are none so very lost
As those who think they know it all.

There are none so full of life
As those that have faced death
And none so dead inside
Who merely think to save themselves.

Completeness in yourself
Is gained by focusing on others;
An overflowing warehouse
Often makes an empty soul.

So do not be so shocked
When life seems turned upon its head;
This would appear to be
The normal way of things.
